Seeking a Manufacturing Manager. The candidate manages various specialized electrical, mechanical, and manual tasks associated with electronic product manufacturing. Coordinates and manages human and material resources to achieve delivery of quality products on schedule and within/below budget. Ensures assigned team members receive the training they need to perform their functions efficiently and cost effectively. Plans, directs and coordinates Production to achieve goals for resource utilization, quality, delivery and cost of products. Identifies and fulfill all personnel staffing requirements to meet objectives for production volume, introduction of new products and implementation of improvement programs. Develops and implements an annual operating plan for manufacturing, which is consistent with and supports the business plan. Develops and implements improvement programs consistent with the corporate and site objectives to improve quality, delivery, cycle time, cost and asset management. Develops, implements and maintains active programs in the areas of training and personnel development to improve job skills and performance, provide career opportunities both inside and outside manufacturing and build a cohesive and effective team. Works with Program Management and Planning to develop production schedules consistent with customer requirements and manufacturing capability. Identifies equipment and facility requirements to support the short and long term business plans. Actively participates in new product development programs to assure rapid transition into manufacturing. Evaluates worker performance; recommends salary changes, promotions, discipline, leaves of absence and terminations. Ensure team members comply with company policies and procedures. Communicates effectively, in both written and verbal formats. Effectively mentors employees at all levels. Understands and uses continuous improvement tools. Drives solutions to complex planning issues with limited supervision. Supports a 24/7 global business operation as required. Effective analytical, planning, and organizational skills. Effective interpersonal skills with employees and customers. Effective negotiation and problem solving skills. Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism when representing the company. Demonstrates leadership and people management skills. Demonstrates teamwork and the ability to operate on diverse project teams with minimal direction. Solid financial understanding, risk analysis ability, relationship-building, and project management. Leads or at least participates in a continuous improvement activity with complete documentation including a follow up review with the team in a presentation format. Available for travel up to 25% to 40% as required. 4 year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 6+ years of electronics manufacturing experience; contract manufacturing preferred. 2 years of leadership role experience required.
