Elicit detailed solution requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process analysis and use cases. Identify vendors, coordinate demos and guide decision-making process. Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely. Develop functional and system design specifications by critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs. Collaborate with internal and external technical resources, as well as subject matter experts, to establish the comprehensive technical vision for a solution. Coordinate the creation of end user and support staff training materials. Ensure the successful completion of system testing prior to go-live, including results verification and release sign-off. Ensure continuing operational quality by documenting bug fixes and enhancements, assigning tasks to developers, testing and releasing updates. Provide ongoing support and training to encourage optimal user. 3+ years' direct experience in a technical project management/business analyst role required. Experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required. Advanced MS Office skills, including Project and Visio required. Familiarity with GxP and SOX requirements strongly preferred.
Reporting skills (SQL, Crystal Reports, etc.) a plus. Eperience with one or more of the following technologies/solution areas a plus: Livelink, ARISg, Sharepoint, ReQlogic, Great Plains, Equity Edge, Microsoft
