Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation. Develop annual plans for store events that provide a differentiated and elevated in-store experience for our customers. Work cross-functionally to define business goals and objectives, KPIs. Work collaboratively with the Strategic Integrated Planning Manager and Marketing COEs to ensure events are properly marketed across internal vehicles to achieve event goals. Define new marketing strategies that focus on external tactics to build awareness of store events, driving new traffic to Petco. Collaborate with Merchandising, Creative, Go to Market, Store Operations and Animal Care teams to create and deliver content, promotions, collateral, and merchandise stores need to successfully deliver event. Manage store communications process to ensure timely, accurate, and clear content and event guidance to stores. Manage the marketing and labor budgets for specific events including accurate forecasting, budgeting, reporting and processing. Manage vendor relationships and ensure vendor integrated partnership plans are successfully included in related store events; including defined KPIs. In partnership with Marketing Analytics COE forecast, track, and analyze events. Report results and make recommendations for adjustments to achieve business goals and objectives. Supervisory Responsibility: This position will manage cross-functional teams over which it does not have direct authority. Work Environment: Most job duties are performed while seated indoors with little or no exposure to hazard. Some travel may be required via automobile or airplane to develop relationships, strategic planning and marketing execution. Non-standard work hours may be required. Education/Experience:Normally requires a bachelor s degree or equivalent, preferably in marketing, advertising or related discipline, plus 7 years of experience in corporate marketing practices, with a proficiency and understanding of retail, event marketing, advertising, strategic alliances, and corresponding analytics. Requires proven expertise at developing and executing integrated marketing plans with tangible ROI and supporting analytics. Must possess a proven track record within a large corporate setting which demonstrates the ability to develop programs, plan, budget, and manage the larger business issues surrounding major corporate program marketing. Previous management experience in a large corporate environment with teams comprised of internal/external participants, agency support, and cross-functional stakeholders is a must. Requires excellent communication and presentation skills for a variety of audiences including executive management. Great organizational skills, with attention to detail is a must. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and be comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. Ability to provide financial oversight for budgets. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience can be substituted for a degree.
