Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The successful candidate will be someone who is extremely organized, team-oriented, attentive to every detail, thinks analytically, communicates effectively and remains calm under pressure. The ability to work evenings and weekends, and to travel locally and overnight as needed, is required. Responsibilities Comprehensive planning and management of events as assigned, including meeting with clients, conducting event research for locations, budget management, travel arrangements, talent reservations, wrangling talent, event logistics, creating run-of-show for events, and on-location support. Merchandising of specific events by proposing, negotiating, ordering and overseeing creation of branding items such as event premiums, logo treatments, pop-up displays, banners, signage, and all other items needed to brand an event location. Manages budget for assigned events, and ensures expense are properly approved, documented and processed for payment. Works with Coordinator to ensure that all invoices for assigned events are tracked, processed and approved, and any billing issues are resolved. Four year college degree required. Minimum 5 years of events experience and 2 years of merchandising experience required. Excellent organizational skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to multi-task required. Must work well under pressure, possess creative problem solving abilities, and be able to make quick, on-the-spot decisions that impact an event. Must have a creative eye and be extremely detail oriented. Must be a team player, willing to learn, have a positive can-do attitude, and be flexible to adapt to constantly changing priorities and business demands. Must possess discretion, good judgment, tact and poise, and be able to interact professionally with all levels of the organization and a wide variety of personalities. Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and be good with numbers, charts and timelines. Experience with PhotoShop, Illustrator, PDF files, JPEG files and EPS a plus. Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed, and to for occasional overnight travel.
