Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The successful candidate will have responsibility for leading a team focused on supporting the regions in delivering on the consumer and small business credit strategy. This leader will also ensure that all elements of risk management and compliance accountability are followed. The Senior Retail Credit leader will work closely with the small business and affluent segments and consumer credit product area in the execution of the credit strategy in support of our vision of helping our customers succeed financially. Accordingly, critical success factors include the ability to manage effectively in a matrix organization, develop partnerships with many business and functional areas, provide insight into the economic climate and related market developments, and identify trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the group's approach to driving effective customer experiences. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Responsible for partnering with and advising the Regional Bank Executive (RBE) and the RBE Leadership team to flawlessly execute the overall credit strategies within the region. Leads the business by building effective and collaborative relationships with customer segment leaders and product partners to meet the needs of our existing and prospective customers. Leads and develops a team of Retail Credit Managers who are responsible for a team of consultants who advise on and support overall credit management across a geographic region. Works to create a seamless customer experience by putting the customer first and leveraging strong internal partnerships; leads with a One approach, by ensuring alignment with overall Regional Banking and strategies and initiatives. Ensures that all elements of risk management and compliance accountability are followed and adhered to by maintaining prescribed risk and security controls while managing within the framework of standards, policies, and procedures, and in accordance with vision and values. Maintains an understanding of and prioritizes opportunities based on the region competitive landscape, economic environment, customer demographics, and talent base. Leads efforts to develop resources/tools/reporting that provide support to the regions for credit management Leads effective implementation of all elements of people and talent management programs and processes. The Candidate: The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in building high-performing teams that drive business results through effective leadership and team member engagement. This leader will contribute to the broad Community Banking strategy with a One lens by living the vision and values of . This collaborative leader must be capable of initiating action and managing change. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, vision and execution skills. A key differentiator will be the ability to understand and operate successfully in a complex, heavily matrixed corporate environment. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement while making difficult decisions based on a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgement. This leader will need to exercise superlative collaboration skills in partnering broadly with other leaders within Community Banking and across the Enterprise to achieve success. Leader must possess strong business acumen with ability to balance business growth and efficiency with managing risks within s risk appetite while supporting an outstanding customer experience. _Preferred location is San Francisco, CA or Los Angeles, CA but willing to consider WF Footprint locations in the West. (Relocation assistance will be offered)_ Required Qualifications: 8+ years of marketing development experience, business development experience, or a combination of both 6+ years of management experience Desired Qualifications: Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
