Provide standard project management: Research and identify solutions; Define project scope and objectives; Create and maintain project schedules; Estimate time requirements: establish deadlines and monitor milestone completion; Lead project teams to review project deliverables and track progress against deadlines; Meet with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of prototypes and final products. Elicit detailed solution requirements using interviews, document analysis, surveys, site visits, business process analysis and use cases. Identify vendors, coordinate demos and guide decision-making process. Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language simply, clearly, unambiguously, and concisely. Develop functional and system design specifications by critically evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts, decomposing high-level information into details, abstracting up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs. Collaborate with internal and external technical resources, as well as subject matter experts, to establish the comprehensive technical vision for a solution. Coordinate the creation of end user and support staff training materials. Ensure the successful completion of system testing prior to go-live, including results verification and release sign-off. Ensure continuing operational quality by documenting bug fixes and enhancements, assigning tasks to developers, testing and releasing updates. Provide ongoing support and training to encourage optimal user. 3+ years' direct experience in a technical project management/business analyst role required. Experience within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry strongly preferred. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required. Advanced MS Office skills, including Project and Visio required. Familiarity with GxP and SOX requirements strongly preferred.
Reporting skills (SQL, Crystal Reports, etc.) a plus. Eperience with one or more of the following technologies/solution areas a plus: Livelink, ARISg, Sharepoint, ReQlogic, Great Plains, Equity Edge, Microsoft

New York City New York Seeking Business Analyst. The candidate should have a technical background and extremely strong analytical skills, reporting into an Application Development organization. Will forge strong working relationships between the company's business clients and technology groups in support of scheduling and distribution for broadband platforms, both existing and emerging platforms. Will be responsible for developing business requirements documents that support strategies for scheduling, packaging, and preparing content and metadata for ultimate distribution for these business initiatives. Several key relationships are critical to this role's success, including those with Operations, Quality Control, Creative Services and the Program Planning departments. Interacting with technical and creative staff members throughout the organization. Identifying opportunities for improvement. Developing detailed business requirements. Communicating the status, benefits, and the impact of requirements on business strategy and operational goals. Balancing multiple projects with aggressive timelines. Conducting meetings with clients to discuss their business process, requirements and functional design. Developing detailed requirements and the necessary use cases to obtain sign off from business clients. Supporting User Acceptance Testing for each application release. Engaging with the technical teams throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle to deliver the solution. Identifying disparate and overlapping current and future state workflows. Evaluating solutions that most effectively meet business needs. Developing knowledge of and adherence to the software development life cycle. Participate in the analysis, risk assessment, and process evaluations in support of Broadband platforms, assist in the implementation of several enhancements to the platform and business process. Should have experience writing requirements and use cases. Should have 2 years of experience in a Business Analyst role: experience gathering business requirements and assessing impact on current application landscape in a commercial business environment. Media related industry experience would be a plus. Should have excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, problem resolution and customer service. Experience with software development life cycle and application release management required. Expertise with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, Visio & PowerPoint required. Experience in making presentations, with the proven ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively required. Should have excellent problem solving skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of technical and non-technical staff. Experience in creating Documentation required. Vendor Management experience a plus. Bachelor's Degree required.
