Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The person in this position will work directly with members of the regional offices providing training and support, as well as analyzing specific client portfolios to determine where Supplemental funds might benefit client portfolios. This role will involve not only understanding of, but the level of knowledge to train others in the most sophisticated investment vehicles and strategies available in Wealth Management, supporting the most sophisticated clients in Wealth Management. The sales support Manager will need to have a deep understanding of: Private Placement Vehicles. Strong understanding of legal vehicles exempt from the 1940 Act through 3c1 and 3c7 exemptions. Hedge Fund Strategies. This will include a mastery of the investment techniques used by the most sophisticated investment managers in the industry, deploying Global Macro, Systematic Trading, Merger Arbitrage, Relative Value, Convertible Arbitrage, Distressed Debt, Fixed Income arbitrage and other complex strategies. The Sales Support Manager will need to be fluent on the specific strategies deployed by the 20-25 hedge fund managers on the Ascent Supplemental investment platform, located around the world. Private Capital Strategies. This position will require a mastery of sophisticated private capital investment strategies including Venture Capital, Growth Capital, Buyout Funds, Private Debt, Asset Based lending, Private Real Estate, Distressed Debt, Real Assets, and others. This position will also need to be fluent in co-investment and direct investment vehicles. Thematic Investing Strategies. This position will need to acquire fundamental knowledge of long term thematic investing concepts and develop an understanding of Thematic Beta research techniques used to construct the Ascent Thematic Portfolios. Family Office Clients. The person in this role will need to represent the most sophisticated investment techniques, delivered in the most sophisticated investment vehicles to the most sophisticated set of clients in the Bank, Family Offices. The Wealth Creator or Family Office chief investment officer will have access and exposure to the most complex investment structures in the world, having a comprehensive knowledge of investment opportunities, strategies and managers. Many times, Family Office clients demonstrate a level of sophistication that is greater than that of the investment boards of foundations, endowments, pension plans and other institutional investors. 8-10 years of investment/asset management experience B.A. in business CFA designation strongly preferred Graduate degree preferred Strong working knowledge of hedge fund and private capital strategies. Strong portfolio construction knowledge/experience Strong communication and relationship skills Strong writing skills.
