Job Responsibilities and Requirements: SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES There are no direct supervisory responsibilities; however, this individual will be responsible for managing the relationship with agency partners and suppliers regarding new store marketing plans ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: Ownership of the Grand Opening strategy and marketing plan, including in-store events and local market media to drive awareness and traffic to the new store from day one Work cross-functionally with core business partners as the Marketing lead during the new store development Work directly with Store Leaders to prepare them for Grand Opening activities before and after the store opening Use learnings to develop and improve plans for standard stores and new concept stores (i.e. The Groomery by PetSmart) to efficiently support weekly new store sales goals Track timeline changes and budgets for each store, communicating risks and changes to cross-functional teams and agency partners Brief and review all creative assets being used in advertising and being sent to stores Provide competitive insights and ROI analysis Develop simple, easy to understand presentations. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Marketing, Business Administration, or Retail Five years of marketing experience in retail or large corporate environment, preferably event based SKILLS Ability to create a fun, energizing in store experience Strong verbal and written communication skills, highly collaborative work style and strong project management skills are essential Keen attention to detail Ability to navigate complex situations on tight timelines while maintaining composure Aptitude to manage high degree of change Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word PREFERRED Grand Opening marketing experience. MBA a bonus.
