Job Responsibilities and Requirements: RESPONSIBILITIES Perform financial and business analyses, methodology development, and modeling in support of industry and company analytics. Develop and execute reporting tools and plans, leveraging a wide array of industry sources (e.g., Nielsen, GfK), to aid in the development of PetSmart's business and financial growth strategies. Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with business units and external partners to develop business plans, insights, and reporting capabilities which aid in the development and execution of business objectives. Conduct research and benchmarking analysis to identify and consolidate industry best practices and trends. Extract key findings and results into synthesized and actionable deliverables for strategic planning & merchandising objectives within PetSmart. Identify, query, and manipulate data from multiple sources. Structure reports and analyses, develop insights, and make recommendations to PetSmart cross-functional team members and leaders. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND: Bachelor's degree, with a focus on Business, strongly preferred however equivalent experience will be considered. Demonstrated strong skill set in conducting secondary research and applying advanced excel and PowerPoint techniques. Ability to work independently and as a functioning member of a team. Strong client relationship building and communication skills required. Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, presentation and report writing/structuring skills required. Strong leadership potential and the ability to articulate complex business concepts and present coherent solutions required.
