Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The position will be working with our clients to help them develop stronger communications. The candidate will consult, design, propose, direct, conduct, and analyze both quantitative and qualitative market research projects. This current opening seeks a specialist with significant experience in the creative development process; meaning in early stage creative development (insights, big idea and screening) and/or pre-testing. Key Responsibilities - Lead client workshops, able to deliver key insights right away, comprehensively, thoughtfully and sensitively to large groups of senior marketing professionals. - Involves significant travel (approximately 2-3 days per week, 3 weeks per month) to conduct research on-site at U.S. facilities (can include international travel too) in addition to time spent in client meetings and report writing - Meets with clients, works to understand the business and interpret client needs by defining research objectives, and works with senior level staff to link appropriate research or products - Works collaboratively with internal business development team to meet client needs. - Summarizes project specifications and collaborates with our Project Directors on proposal/screener creation and logistical setup - Authors and reviews proposals with clients and modifies design as necessary - Develops discussion guides for research, utilizing techniques that help elicit relevant and meaningful insights for the client team; develops associated templates, listening guides and other material as stimulus for the research - Leads group and interview sessions working with clients to incorporate feedback and learnings - Analyzes/Synthesizes research findings and creates insightful and actionable recommendations into a final report/presentation and presents the findings back to the appropriate client teams - Contribute to building our company s research practices and processes by participating in company initiatives to develop improved research techniques and methods and sharing learnings to build overall knowledge Ideal Candidate has the Following Skills and Experience - Bachelor s degree is required with at least 10 years of experience working in the marketing, advertising agency or marketing research industry from either the client or supplier side - Extensive experience and genuine interest in ads, strategy, insights and people. - Ability to build instant connections with marketing professionals and confidently lead a room of strangers through a day of research (up to 20 people). - Communicate complex ideas in a way for all audiences to understand. - The candidate should have a solid understanding of both quantitative and qualitative methodologies; traditional and online - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - Strong analytical skills and business acumen - Ability to distill information into actionable, story-telling reporting deliverable s on the spot - Willingness to travel approximately 2-3 days per week, 3 weeks per month.
