Position ID 1821 An excellent position with an American medical device and technology company Senior Scientist - Genomics Support Please apply ONLY if you have a relevant Master s or PhD and experience with NGS pipelines Visa sponsorship is not available for this position We can ONLY consider your application if you have 1 MS/PhD degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, bioinformatics, or related field 2 Experience in external customer-facing role 3 Experience implementing or running NGS (next-generation sequencing) data analysis pipelines 4 Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, quick learner with ability to adapt to change 5 Strong written and spoken communication 6 Highly motivated, responsible, independent self-starter, team-oriented, and problem solver We are looking for an outstanding Senior Scientist, Genomics Support to be part of the Customer Support team to empower the delivery of unprecedented single-cell biology solutions, as well as analysis solutions, to a growing customer base. Success in this role requires a strong molecular, cell biology, and software analysis expertise, and exceptional problem-solving skills, plus motivation to enable customer success with new technologies. DESIRED (not required) SKILLS Strong molecular biology and/or immunology background Experience in generating customer-facing materials Experience with single-cell RNA-seq assays or other NGS assays Experience with cell culture and cell sorting Python programming and proficiency in data analysis using Python or R Experience with next-generation sequencing data formats Experience with Linux, shell scripting Experience with any of docker, common workflow language (CWL), Seven Bridges, Arvados, AWS Duties and Responsibilities Provide world-class solutions for customers by driving analysis of highly complex biology samples and empower researchers with cutting-edge single-cell genomics products Lead troubleshooting and education for internal and external customers Be the expert in molecular biology, immunology and/or bioinformatics in the Customer Support team Produce technical content and materials for internal and external users Lead technical training to field teams and maintain training curriculum Benchmark and evaluate pipeline performance, gather feedback and implement improvements Manage the escalation process and document lessons learned Be the champion for customers and lead feedback back to other internal teams, including product development core teams Please send resume as a Microsoft Word attachment to
