Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Major Responsibilities: Provide advisory support to regional and branch/country GFCD teams and GFCD HQ staff and business units (where appropriate) on escalations at the client, product and program level Contribute subject-matter expertise to the development, implementation, operation and refinement of the Client Risk Rating Methodology Monitor KYC standards compliance for high-risk customers Establish and monitor KRIs at the client level Support development of Risk Appetite framework and monitor for compliance at the client level Support the global AML Risk Assessment Support financial services industry engagements (e.g., Wolfsberg and BPI) Maintain records for MUFG engagement in Wolfsberg working groups, coordinate communications and participate in meetinsg as required. Provide SME input to product-specific Working Groups In coordination with GFCD Sanctions, maintain awareness of sanctions matters with AML implications and support implementation of targeted controls Additional Information: Typically requires 8 years of financial industry compliance experience, preferably within a global organization. BA or BS degree, MBA or Master s degree in Business, Accounting, legal or related field preferred. Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in banking laws and regulations administered by the Federal Reserve Bank, FDIC, OCC and state banking regulators; compliance risk management and regulatory oversight. Subject matter expertise in financial-crime and terrorism-financing trends, developments and risk-mitigation strategies. Demonstrated experience in leveraging investigative and intelligence output in assessing and managing AML risk across the enterprise. Demonstrated experience in terrorism financing, money laundering threats and risks and ability develop applicable and effective controls. Collaborative with strong interpersonal communication skills. Experience in assessing KRIs at the threat, risk and typology levels. Knowledge and experience with industry guidance (e.g., FATF, OFAC and Wolfsberg) on financial crime prevention. Thorough understanding of an effective financial crimes risk management framework. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and expectations outside the US desirable. Results oriented with a strong ability to develop appropriate program enhancing strategies. Detail oriented and proven execution abilities. Ability to prepare executive-level presentations. Ability to work autonomously and initiate and prioritize own work and multitask effectively. Solid judgment and established negotiation skills. Position may require international travel, with overall travel up to 15% of the time.
