Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Alternative Investments Group is responsible for the selection and monitoring of alternative asset managers for Global Wealth Management clients. This will include communications with asset managers and clients considering the use of an alternative asset manager within an investment program. Managers include multiple asset classes across hedge funds, private equity funds, private credit funds, and real estate funds. The team is global with professionals based in New York, London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Mumbai and Singapore and works closely with the asset class leaders, portfolio construction, investment team leaders and the entire integrated client team in building and maintaining the full product suite. S/he will execute initiatives with a focus on the continued success and innovation of Alternatives, including idea generation, product creation and product development. Success will require working collaboratively with stakeholders across the business and control functions with a critical eye for problem solving. Responsibilities will inevitably extend from areas mentioned above into others. Position Description This candidate will be responsible for: Work closely with the Global Head of Alternative Investments, by analyzing/monitoring alternative investment assets, generating reporting and contributing to product innovation, creation, and implementation Working with Senior Management across the Private Bank and beyond, including Asset Class Leaders, Investment Team Leaders and Operating Committee Members to formalize Alternatives business priorities and execute initiatives Working closely with the various sub-teams within the Alternative Investments Group to assist in day-to-day requests, tasks and projects driven by senior management, incoming client inquiries and the internal salesforce Utilizing qualitative and quantitative tools to analyze, synthesize and interpret large amounts of data and information, drawing conclusions and making recommendations for senior management Problem solving and examining business initiatives with an eye towards client, firm, advisor, and business impact Understanding, defining, and prioritizing business needs in the context of short and long term objectives Develop a detailed understanding of current-state processes and procedures, identify weaknesses, gaps, opportunities for improvement and propose innovative business solutions required to increase the efficiency of information flow between different business areas Attributes: Ability to execute within demanding deadlines, and manage multiple projects concurrently Proactive, accountable, and detail-oriented work ethic Organized and comprehensive project management approach Thrive working in a fast-paced and demanding environment Confidence and skill to both develop and recommend solutions to business leaders Ability to quickly analyze business practices to identify risk and develop innovative solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface globally with all levels of the organization Superior judgment and discretion working with both confidential and sensitive information 3-5 years of experience in business management or investments Candidate must hold a Bachelor s degree Experience with and in-depth knowledge of investments, including private equity, private credit, real estate and hedge funds Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems and to manage multiple tasks at once Superior judgment and discretion working with both confidential and sensitive information Broad understanding.
