Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Responsibilities Manage LTC data team resources; encourage staff to develop technical skills that will significantly improve the quality of actuarial data and efficiency of processes Work with actuaries across IFRS and NAIC Valuation, Modeling, Experience Analysis and Inforce Management departments to understand data change requests and help prioritize the most important and time-sensitive needs of the collective group of stakeholders Work with LTC administration system and claims system departments to prioritize changes to financial information provided by those systems Work with Global Solutions Delivery (GSD) and Group Functions IT (GFIT) areas to prioritize tasks and coordinate change management cycles Write detailed descriptions of data change requests to provide to systems departments and GSD/GFIT teams and answer questions that arise during development cycles Provide routine support to actuarial areas, such as data file integrity checks, researching data quality issues, and producing regular reports required for experience analysis and rerate activities Education & Experience At least 3-5 years of experience in the financial services industry Prior management experience helpful Prior knowledge of Long Term Care products helpfulSkills & Competencies Energetic personality with positive, can-do attitude Excellent leadership skills and ability to encourage and motivate staff Ability to communicate effectively with actuaries and IT professionals Strong analytical and problem solving skills Strong desire to improve processes Willingness to learn and/or teach new data science techniques.
