Senior Trademark Paralegal

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The key responsibilities and duties of the position are: Maintain trademark and domain name docketing database, records and corresponding files for global portfolio containing 700 trademarks, including periodic audit and status checks to ensure the docket is accurate and up-to-date. Communicate with network of foreign counsel and renewal vendors regarding management of international trademark prosecution, office actions, and renewal matters. Organize and analyze incoming trademark watch notices and correspondence related to our trademark and domain name portfolio. Provide support for contentious IP matters (oppositions, cancellations, litigation) and docketing of such matters. Prepare and electronically file U.S. trademark applications, extensions of time with the TTAB and other trademark-related documents. Draft case, project and docket status reports and other correspondence related to IP portfolio. Coordinate the legalization and notarization of official documents (power of attorneys, assignments, licenses, etc.). Assist with legal budget management, including external counsel billing and monthly review and classification of law firm invoices. Assist with review of company-wide marketing materials and press releases based on sound understanding of our branding guidelines. Assist in such other duties as directed. Requirements Bachelor s degree or paralegal certificate with minimum of 10 years of trademark paralegal experience. Thorough knowledge and significant understanding of the trademark process, docketing and filing responsibilities. Knowledge of and experience with TESS, SAEGIS, and major online IP retrieval websites and databases, Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, with desired experience in the FILEYE docketing system. Strong verbal and written communication skills; pro-active in identifying and addressing issues and managing deadlines; and able to work independently and within a team environment.
