Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Summary See below Key Qualifications 5+ years of retail or commercial construction experience in a global role; industries of preferred experience: hospitality, offices, civic, museum buildings, or high-quality retail Required 5+ years in a cost management role at a general contractor or construction management firm Experience overseeing direct staff responsible for delivering cost management services as an owner or consultant Experience in overall project costs, bidding, vendor buy-out, cash flow, change orders, and reconciliations Description Participates with other senior management to establish strategic plans and objectives Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of subordinate pre-construction and support staff Oversee delivery of project estimates across multiple geographic regions; with internal and external staff Ensure consistency and adherence to protocols established for project level cost management within guidelines Provide guidance for project risk analyses for individual projects and across geographic regions Assist Design, Development, and Real Estate teams with evaluating alternate solutions and cost analyses Drive cost model trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost information from completed projects Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a programmatic level Assist Standards and Sourcing in evaluating the implementation of new innovations Recommend adjustments to the cost management processes and tools based on global oversight Support preparation of leadership presentations for which the Program Management Services team is involved Manage contracts, purchase orders, and invoicing of external staff within Project Management Services team Support training for Development and Program Management Services teams for new cost process and tools Leadership essentials: employee's performance life cycle, developing direct reports and others, talent planning, compensation planning, and other leadership responsibilities Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Influence senior-level leaders regarding matter significance to the organization. Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar discipline; post-graduate coursework preferred.
