Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Roles and Responsibilities: The candidate will be responsible for interfacing with internal (front office, middle office, technology) and external (regulators, auditors, vendors) partners to collect market data, perform research, and obtain comparable pricing information. The candidate will also execute many ad-hoc research inquiries from senior management, across all products in the inventory. The candidate will be expected to maintain a close relationship with all traders, to ensure accuracy of analysis and availability of all transaction information. Additionally, the candidate will assist in asset/liability valuation and methodology construction and analysis. Responsibilities will include: Analysis of Markets, P&L and Risk with understanding of factors that drive valuation and riskBuilding/automating a price verification/benchmarking process including the calculation of fair value adjustments, price testing and reportingDevelopment / Re-engineering of fair value adjustments, including the review of illiquid positions, complex transactions, market events effecting valuation Enhance existing control framework including reviewing independent pricing processes, assessing potential coverage developments and implementing new tools to enhance control efficiency in partnership with technology Working with Trading, Middle Office, Finance and Model Review to continually monitor the various valuation risks of the business and implement appropriate adjustments Other value-added projects related to Business, Risk, and Finance initiatives Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting or FinanceKnowledge in Fixed Income is a plusHas worked in finance, business management, PnL or risk operations/middle office department Familiarity with accounting and financial control procedures Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to observe and interpretAttention to detail; keen eye for potential control deficiencies and desire/ability to rectify Strong verbal and written communications skills Strong Excel and PowerPoint skillsAbility to work in pressure oriented environment with tight recurring deadlines (mid month, month end, quarter end, year end, regulatory, audit) Ability to seek efficiencies in work leveraging VCG and firm resources and partners Teamwork oriented, ability to work across management hierarchy Knowledge of Bloomberg (is a plus otherwise will be required to learn) Technical Skills (Cash Flow Tools, Working with VCG Technology, Excel, etc.).
