Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position will be part of our engineering team, which supports our Technical Operations Center in the Los Angeles headquarters. The department focuses mainly on broadcast channel playout, VOD support and media services. This position is part of a 24/7 support team. Responsibilities Must have a positive attitude, able to work well with team members. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a driven self-starter that can initiate ideas. Must demonstrate the ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly. Thrives on technical challenges and takes pride in solving them. Strategically thinks about both the technical and non-technical aspects of the business.Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills and is comfortable dealing with a variety of end users, including executives, managers, operations as well as external vendors.Capable of following and composing process and procedure documentation, training users in complex topics, and interacting positively with upper management. A minimum of 3 years experience utilizing the aforementioned skill set in day to day support of a television facility.Advanced knowledge of virtual machine clusters and hardware, UCS B and M series blades.Basic database administration, optimization, maintenance of MySQL/MariaDB Strong Windows server administration experience - Windows Servers (2008 - 2016) Basic knowledge of broadcast television technologies including HD-SDI/4K video formats as well as traditional 720p/1080i signal types.Basic knowledge of broadcast TV facilities playout automation systems (Snell Morpheus, Grass Valley iTX, Harris ADC etc.) Basic knowledge of SMPTE Standards/Protocols for media file formats such as MXF, GXF, and LXF.Strong knowledge of asset management systems, file based workflows, media acquisition, trans-coding/encoding, and NAS/SAN technologies. Basic knowledge of traditional broadcast equipment (Everts terminal gear, frame syncs, delay boxes, VTR s etc.) Advanced knowledge of IPV4 and IPV6 sub-nettingDesired: Experience with Dalet Galaxy MAM.Experience with AWS Cloud Computing & S3 storage. Experience with VMware ESXi 6.0.
