Job Responsibilities and Requirements: ACCOUNTABILITIES: Sort, scan, and save official patent documents. Update inventory of physical files stored off-site. Archive physical files stored on site. Assist with creation and filing of Information Disclosure Statements. Audit patent-related documents, including assignments and inventor declarations. Assist with preparation of PTO documents and correspondence. Assist with docketing matters. Assist with special IPD projects as they arise. Complete internship with a working knowledge of IP department procedures and processes. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States Applicants must be enrolled in a U.S. accredited university for the semester before and immediately following the internship. Expected hours: 10 - 20 hours while school is in session; up to 40 hours during school breaks Computer literate Experienced with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Attention to details Excellent communication skills Able to maintain strict confidentiality Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize Previous office experience a plus LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: None required.
