Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Senior Financial Analyst builds solid working relationships with the various cost centers and develops insightful financial analyses to support decision-making. Responsibilities Partner with department heads to build budgets, analyzing areas for potential savings, and recommending solutions for managing their spend Prepare reclassification journal entries and reconciliations with the appropriate supporting documentation Research and prepare forecast vs. actual variance analysis and explanations Support the budgeting and long-range planning processes, including management of underlying templates and analysis Facilitate Lucasfilm capital asset process, including Capital Expenditure Request review, consolidation, and reporting Support cost center managers with the purchasing process by providing coding, interfacing with Disney Procurement and monitoring good receipts Provide assistance in resolving inquiries for assigned functional areas Work closely with counterparts at Disney to gather and provide financial information and analysis Provide quarterly management and annual plan presentation materials for Disney and Lucasfilm internal executive management team Support efforts for process improvements Perform special projects and ad-hoc analysis as needed Preferred Qualifications : Qualifications 5 years in finance or accounting with 3 years of financial analysis experience and a BS in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA designations are a plus Prior experience supporting multiple cost centers and / or Big 4 public accounting experience a plus Hands-on experience in accounting, forecasting, planning, and financial analysis and solid understand of financial statements and modeling Strong analytical and problem solving skills, involving complex issues in a fast-paced, unpredictable and often ambiguous environment Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously and follow up to ensure timely results Expert proficiency in Excel and skilled in Word, PowerPoint, and Google G-Suite applications; experience with TM1 & SAP preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to diplomatically interact and develop solid working relationships with management, staff, and divisional peers.
