Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Responsibilities Develop the PR strategy for all lifestyle product categories, all brands and corporate (where relevant) initiatives for the US market based on annual marketing plans Manage external PR agency within the budget boundaries Manage +$750k PR activation budget Lead the annual product PR Communications strategy and plans, and ensuring effective roll-out in the USA market. This role will work closely with Product Marketing Team, USA Regional Marketing & Sales team, Corporate PR team and key PR partners around the globe to deliver the overall product communication objectives, secure all media coverage Own and deliver product PR result reports summarizing media coverage data to management, monthly and yearly with clear matrix and goal in mind. Develop PR strategies for social media and oversee the content production (including, but not limited to adverts, videos, social media and online PR stunts). Lead the USA PR activities around key consumer audio trade shows (CES, IFA) as the main contact person for the USA PR team. Work with business units to write product press releases and collaborate with corporate PR to drive media to events and direct NPI PR Communication Analyze and understand hierarchy of product priorities across brands and business units, and then set the strategies and PR programs to mirror these priorities. Prepare media kits, press releases, and field the media pitching stories to generate publicity or to counter negative publicity. Cultivate, build, and maintain successful relationships with the media and the community. Build a strong working relationship with USA media ensuring strong PR coverage. Based on the yearly marketing plans, Brand Communication Create the PR support plan for all USA initiatives and support the amplification of the brand activities to help drive positive brand awareness and sales goals. Develop effective PR plans using appropriate strategies and tactics to support overall brand awareness in USA region. Work closely with the local team to efficiently utilize Harman-owned assets (celebrity, athletes, music events, etc.) to promote brand awareness in USA region where it applies. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing / Public Relations At least 5 - 7 years of demonstrated success in executing Public Relations and Brand Communications Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with attention to details and have strong work ethic. Must be a confident communicator and presenter. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have excellent organizational and planning skills. Have a full and tactical understanding of media needs, media relationships, and all primary social media platforms with understanding of the USA PR and Media landscape. Must be self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment Preferred Qualifications: Please list the preferred qualifications needed for this position based on the following: Results-Driven: Having a proactive, goal oriented approach to decision making.
