Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The department works with financial institutions, the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, and the US Mint. The teams maintain tight custody controls, work with new automated inventory and processing applications, and meet processing schedules to ensure quality and timely deliverables. Responsibilities: Receive and verify currency and coin deposits from financial institutions, other FRB offices, coin terminals, the US Mint, and the Bureau of Engraving and Printing Prepare currency and coin orders for financial institutions Ensure that deposits and orders are processed and verified in a timely and efficient manner Meet department quality standards Maintain accurate inventories Balance inventory and process differences timely Meet individual and team production standards Qualifications: High School diploma At least two years in a production or cash handling environment Ability to deliver high productivity while maintaining a superior level of quality Exhibit accuracy, thoroughness and attention to detail Work with minimal supervision Collaborate and communicate professionally with co-workers and vendors Exhibit basic accounting and balancing skills Working knowledge of personal computers utilizing Windows Team-oriented Ability to regularly lift 30 to 40 pounds and, on occasion, approximately 50 pounds. Push currency containers. Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to multi-task and cross-train as needed Learn and operate department applications efficiently Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem solving skills Note: Hourly employees work on average 16 hours per week. However, additional hours may be available.
