Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Duties include: Tunnel and other underground construction cost estimating Cost reconciliation Scheduling Risk management Design reviews Constructability reviews Business development and marketing for cost estimating and schedule on underground projects both internally and externally USA offers great growth potential and the opportunity to work on significant projects with national exposure. Job Requirements The candidate applying for this position should meet the following requirements: BS in Civil Engineering program from an accredited School of Engineering Minimum of 7 years experience in tunnel/underground construction, cost estimating, design, risk management or construction scheduling, or preferably a combination of all of the above Should have cost estimating experience enough to independently create reliable, accurate cost estimates for tunneling and other underground construction Ability and willingness for some travel Ability to apply the right class of cost estimate depending on existing design level, from ROM estimates to detailed bottom-up cost estimates Proficiency in application of soft costs Proficiency in contingency cost considerations Ability to escalate cost estimates to the right year of expenditure and present related graphs and/or tabular format for yearly, quarterly, and/or monthly spending and funding streams, and comparisons of the two Should be proficient in an industry recognized cost estimating software such as HeavyBid or Timberline Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
