Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Key Activities will include: Align with the therapeutic area Medical Directors to develop RML strategies and tactics in support of Bone and Inflammation molecules in development. Develops capabilities to enhance Bone and Inflammation RML engagement of clinical and economic decision makers that are aligned with Value and Access priorities (ie, disease management of population health delivery models, transition of care) Provide oversight of field RML support for real-world evidence partnerships and quality improvement opportunities with customers and health-systems. Collaborate with the Bone and Inflammation GHE and CfOR teams to provide input into oncology TA strategy and identify research opportunities that address clinical and economic needs of integrated delivery networks Champion RML initiatives and ideas from the field to the home office, including US medical and development functions Develop SEP; Set objectives and metrics for RML accountabilities Determine headcount capacity and annual budgetary needs Oversees communication of medical information into formats and programs that can be communicated by the field Work with Bone and Inflammation TA stakeholders and Clinical Study Teams to determine clinical trial site involvement for the RMLs Observe, coach and mentor direct reports Work with Global therapeutic knowledge to determine the content and execution of training programs to support RMLs Clearly communicate RML guidance, direction and expectations to the field Allocate resources consistent with priorities Represent Amgen by participating as needed in advisory boards, Congresses and professional association meetings. Maintain appropriate key relationships as directed by US Medical Capability Head. Basic Qualifications: Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D., or D.O. in medically related field & 6 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Master's degree & 10 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor's degree & 12 years of Medical Affairs experience AND 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources Preferred Qualifications: Training in clinical medicine, therapeutics, pharmacology and/or basic sciences providing an overall understanding of the therapeutic areas. Bone and Inflammation experience. Extensive headquarters-based experience in Medical Affairs and Medical Liaison management. The ability to manage field-based medical teams and develop and manage relationships with internal and external customers 10 or more years of experience which include (8) years of industry experience in a liaison program. Previous scientific or clinical experience prior to industry.
