Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Vice President Government Sales is responsible for leading a team of Directors who manage assigned government Accounts and pursue competitively held Strategic Accounts to achieve annual sales goals. This includes recruiting, hiring, planning, reporting, program implementation, and includes a team of Project Managers who support the Directors. This team also provides selling support to the Regions and Divisions for critical projects and accounts not assigned to Government Business Division. Required Skills EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT Bachelor Degree in Business or related field SKILLS REQUIREMENT Technical Experience: Minimum 10 - 15 years of sales experience Industry Experience : Minimum 15 years of relevant experience Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written with excellent presentation skills Ability to collaborate and drive decisions in an organization; significant experience leading cross functional groups and projects Exceptional business acumen, analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to apply quantitative approach to measuring customer experience, product usage and customer satisfaction to drive improved performance Required Experience ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide leadership to Government Division and the sales organization in implementing initiatives that reflect Knoll s business and financial objectives Engage directly with clients to support selling efforts of the Directors and others in the sales organization Participate in planning and coach Directors on client strategy Assign sales targets and annual bonus objectives to the Directors and report results to finance for calculating the Directors bonuses Manage expenses to meet the annual budget Provide training and education opportunities to elevate the skills of the team and achieve continuous improvement on processes and results Engage with dealers aligned with Government Strategic Accounts to ensure understanding of our global processes and support dealer activities, such as account specific summits and meetings Ensure a close working relationship with global Knoll partners in International and Europe. Include these individuals in conference calls, team meetings and pertinent communications Oversee the creation and enhancement of Global Capabilities presentation materials within GBD and with Marketing.
