Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The positions responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all areas of project management, including: Project Planning, Scheduling, Resource Allocation, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management. Compensation and Benefits Starting salary upon appointment not expected to exceed $7,500 per month ($90,000 annually). Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Construction Management, Business or other relevant discipline AND five or more years of progressively responsible, combined in-field and office experience managing construction projects; including estimating, scheduling, quality control, and cost control management (or combination of education/experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position). Must be experienced with on-site field construction conditions, and possess in-depth knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and productivity. Preferred Qualifications and Specialized Skills Knowledge of programming, site planning, utility design, architectural design, interior design, space planning, project management, building codes and regulations governing Public Works construction are highly desirable. Possession of a professional license in one of the professions and/or an advanced degree and have experience managing projects in an institutional environment. Highly effective interpersonal skills and an interest in managing complex programming, design and construction projects in a university setting. Familiarity with scheduling software, construction project management software, Excel spreadsheets and word processing software.
