Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The VP, IT Security Technology reports to the global infrastructure leader (SVP, IT Infrastructure Services). S/he is the principal technology leader in IT organization responsible for determining the technology and solution capabilities required to meet the company growing information security and cyber requirements, certifications, audit, software design and coding, regulatory assessments, board of directors, and customer requirements. The individual also manages the relationship between IT and the CISO (Global Security and Risk Services team), ensuring strong alignment, partnership, and focus on the defined IT priorities and security operations maturity. The candidate will assess corporate IT current state, determine what gaps need to be closed in support of the companys risk profile, and then manage the required transition to the target state. This includes influencing what technology and solutions should be utilized across the corporation, driving global consolidation and standardization, secure coding practices, and managing the multi-year roadmap required to support the changing security landscape. The candidate will require strong technical, operational, and communication skills to support working closely with the key stakeholders (IT Application and Infrastructure Leaders, CISO, CIO, CTO, Business Executives, 2026), to influence requirements, challenges, and both strategic and operational objectives. Advise, counsel, and educate executive and management teams on their relative importance and financial impact. - Performs other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities: Be an engaged, collaborative member of the senior IT staff Collaborate across IT, GSRS, and vendors to develop annual budgets Ensure successful introduction and adoption of security technology and methods across the globe Develop solution concepts and business cases for new investment proposals Perform business analysis and prepare recommendations and business plans as needed Create and analyze relevant information and proactively develop recommendations to accelerate value and minimize risk Act as the key liaison across all functional areas for IT Security related initiatives Represent both on-prem and cloud-based security frameworks and capabilities Possess a broad knowledge of the most relevant security technologies and operational best practices Develop and implement sound rationale for portfolio management and managing product phase-in-phase-out plans, proactively anticipating gaps and overlaps within the portfolio Create consensus with other functions as to the timing of solution introductions and withdrawals Identify and help evaluate new solution opportunities to address unmet needs Partner with key members of the IT staff and the CISO to create strategic business plans. Collaborate with the CISO on security architecture to ensure solution compatibility with IT broader architecture plans Collaborate with the IT Project Management Office on the intake process and prioritization of candidate projects being sponsored by security stakeholders Qualifications Iron Mountain is seeking a candidate with strong security and operational experience, who also possesses a track record of driving a technology agenda within a globally dispersed environment. The ideal candidate must be a proven leader demonstrating 15 years of experience managing complex organizations including accountability for technology solutions, implementations, consensus building, organizational leadership, and technical excellence. Given the strategic relevance of the security and risk landscape, it will be critical for this individual to be familiar with cyber trends, and the required IT services (infrastructure, applications, cloud, vendors, and services) to enable the planned risk management, scale and expansion. Must have a solid understanding of information technology and information security. Leveraging leading edge technology and engineering practices, this leader will bring together different disciplines that revolve around security to establish the vision, strategy and architecture to ensure data can be secured effectively and flexibly.
