Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Primary Responsibilities: Work with Actuaries, Claims, and Underwriting to generate insights through analyzing data and identify underlying trends to influence business decisions and actions Identify opportunities for streamlining/automating/standardizing actuarial work processes. Build data/analysis tools for actuaries and business partners to help them drill down into trends and anomalies. Position Requirements Leadership Skills: Strong execution and results oriented Intellectual curiosity and problem solving skills Resourceful Strong communication (oral and written) and influencing skills and demonstrated ability to work across interdisciplinary teams that are geographically dispersed Ability to identify issues and work to resolve them in partnership with business leaders. Develop and obtains consensus on project plans (tasks, schedules, resource assignments) with leadership. Position Requirements: BS/BA Degree (MS preferred) preferably in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Actuarial Science or equivalent combination of education and experience. Actuarial exams and experience preferred but not required 10 years of experience with data analysis and preparation, including experience with very large data sets. 5 years of experience leading information design and visual storytelling to craft the visualization of data and insights utilizing data visualization software/tools. High level SQL skills. Hands-on experience reading and writing code with one or more high-level languages (SAS, Python, and R) and SQLServer, SSAS, SSIS, Oracle, Sybase, DB2, Tableau. Experience in advanced analytics and predictive modeling techniques Experience in the design, development, and administration of Data Warehouse, ETL, Internet Data Collection/Mining Data model design expertise. System Architecture Design, Automation Framework Design, Business Process Reengineering, Process Visualization, UE/UI Design, A.I. algorithm Insurance industry experience a must Strong process and systems skills and attention to detail.
