Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Sales & Marketing Vice President should have the competencies and confidence required to either own or direct and supervise the corresponding initiatives and combine them optimally. The Sales & Marketing Vice President will have 2 to 3 direct reports but also access to several other sales and marketing resources in the organization. This position is an ideal opportunity for someone who has held a Sales & Marketing Director position and is looking for their next challenge. WE'RE LOOKING FOR Our ideal candidate would be local or semi-local (ability to work from the Scotts Valley office and work from home if longer commute) and offered opportunities to demonstrate the following skills on a day-to-day basis: Planning & Strategy Build a Sales and Marketing plan that makes best use of available resources to broaden and strengthen the appeal of the ROI brand, generate a rich pipeline of incomings and an optimal conversion of existing leads Partner closely with the President, EVP Head of Accounts and ROI Partner Group Director to define preferred target audiences and develop communication initiatives that reach those audiences quickly and effectively with relevant content/messaging Advise on any technologies or systems that could streamline the effectiveness of our marketing activities Implement metrics that support hard revenue goals, business development efforts and increase awareness at the national level Provide monthly reporting for management on all marketing efforts Manage the marketing budget Marketing Work with ROI s President and Head of Creative to ensure ROI brand remains vital and well represented in all that we do Develop and oversee a digital strategy that combines pin sharp SEO with an artful use of our IP and Thought Leadership to enhance ROI mindfulness in the prospect community and generate maximum quality leads from our website and social activities Evaluate the use of the different owned, earned and bought digital channels available to us, including PR, LinkedIn, Facebook, AdWords, remarketing ads, display etc., and implement as appropriate Oversee the connection between our Thought Leadership activities and the delivery of impactful and SEO-aligned content in appropriate channels Manage ROI s web presence with the support of our Head of Creative As requested, take ownership of various partnership initiatives and ensure that they are developed to the mutual advantage of both parties Partner with our Founder to support our existing ROI Forum events and help ensure that they are fully leveraged to maximize their marketing and sales value Establish an editorial calendar to ensure that above activities are mutually supporting and optimally effective Drive the process of maintaining key selling IP (Case Studies, References, etc.) Own the process surrounding any Awards Programs ROI might enter Establish metrics and analytics required to demonstrate efficacy of above activities to the ROI Leadership Team Sales Oversee the maintenance of our databases (alumni, prospects, old, new and lapsed clients). Develop and oversee a Sales Outreach Strategy that fully leverages the above to draw new prospects into our pipeline, including, as deemed appropriate, phone and email campaigns. Identify and understand buy points and ensure the relevance of targeted messaging/content Partner with key stakeholders to help position, package and deliver product offerings to appropriate targets As part of the above, partner with our Founder and ROI Partner Group Director to drive the next level of ROI Partner Group sales Work with Account Managers and SMEs to identify high value opportunities throughout the year to connect ROI capabilities and Thought Leadership to existing clients, to help broaden the perception and use of our total skill sets - and then own and manage the process of generating relevant content required to leverage such opportunities Own the process of filtering, informing and then either managing or briefing in and supporting ROI s response to inbound sales opportunities Connect, co-ordinate and deliver regular and timely New Business progress reports Internal Communications You will input to and supervise aspects of the internal communications calendar and content Management, Tracking, Analytics and Reporting Evolve the balance and capabilities of your team to ensure ROI s Sales and Marketing functions punch permanently above their weight Own and oversee ROI s Proposal and SOW process Ensure that your team are always well directed, wholly engaged and in receipt of continuous constructive feedback at all times Take personal ownership of the learning curve and growth paths of your direct reports Own and oversee any work conducted in and around Customer Satisfaction, ensuring that all insights gleaned through such activities are well communicated and fully leveraged Pro-actively look to extend the reach of ROI s Sales and Marketing efforts by establishing marketing partnerships with relevant 3 rd party organizations Ensure that all investments, both of time and dollars, are carefully evaluated and optimized at all times Provide the Leadership Team with accurate, regular updates on the impact and efficacy of all Sales and Marketing activities QUALIFICATIONS & DEMONSTRATED SKILLS Qualifications BA/BS in a related field required, MA preferred 5 years leadership experience in leading the process of formulating and owning marketing strategy and managing a Sales & Marketing team 10 years experience of planning, prioritizing and implementing marketing activities You will have energy, ambition and drive in spades Significant experience of managing marketing programs within a B2B/professional service environment A demonstrable track record of making things happen and getting results Additional Demonstrated Skills Highly motivated to achieve success A natural collaborator Constant curiosity for the changing and evolving environment Sense of urgency in helping businesses navigate the changing landscape to commercialize opportunities Strong verbal and written skills Exceptional time line management Experience operating in or managing a workforce that is substantially virtual by nature (i.e. a high percentage of our team work from home or in the clients environment) Other Professional service experience strongly preferred Experience working in a virtual environment preferred.
