Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Assist in the development of annual operating and capital budget, coordinating with Manufacturing Department to quantify the impact of operational initiatives and changes versus prior years. Examine budget report for completeness and accuracy; submit final report to management. Analyze monthly budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls; monitor operating budget by tracking actual vs. budgeted expenditures. Evaluate monthly performance against the budget; identify explanations for variances, looking for opportunities for improvement. Monitor and forecast financial performance and cost recovery; perform cost/schedule variance analysis and provide quarterly projections of cost recovery and resulting recommendations. Contribute to the development of product pricing strategy, offering a detail-oriented, data-driven approach to pricing that protects profit margins. Conduct detailed analyses leveraging large and complex data sets in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital and investment. Prepare and analyze early diagnostic data to assist management in the development of action plans to improve financials. Minimum Requirement: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance. Courses taken in Cost Management and Managerial Finance. 1 year s experience as Budget Analyst or Financial Analyst.
