Job Responsibilities and Requirements: RESPONSIBILITIES: This is the first in a series of four revenue cycle analyst roles in a multi-site, multi-specialty academic medical center. Works in a team environment providing support to revenue analysts and revenue cycle leadership under limited supervision. Actively communicate and present pertinent information to various audiences. Understands and recognizes the need for billing controls to preserve Standard of Ethics and minimize the financial and legal risks. Performs tasks such as error correction, reconciliations, data entry, standard report preparation, analysis and/or routine compliance activities. Uses reporting tools to monitor revenue recognition and billing compliance. Understands basic Mayo and governmental coding and billing rules and compliance guidelines. Assists in conducting research and analysis, benchmarking, and audits to ensure reasonableness and accuracy of information along with identifying and implementing best practices and improvements. Provides basic revenue and billing analytics to support department and institutional leadership. May identify revenue and billing problems and opportunities and communicate to appropriate leaders. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree in economics, mathematics, business administration, accounting, finance, healthcare business related fields or statistics; OR Master's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or healthcare business related fields required. Degrees in other 4-year fields (e.g. IS technology, engineering) will be considered with at least 2 years relevant experience required; OR Master's degree in other related fields will be considered with at least one year of relevant experience.
