Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Candidate must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively with the legal team to identify, present and discuss challenges early. Must be detail-oriented and attentive, with excellent judgment and organizational skills. Proficiency with trademark or general intellectual property practice is preferred. Responsibilities Manage deadlines for trademark prosecution, maintenance and enforcement matters File and maintain U.S. trademark applications Instruct foreign trademark prosecution, maintenance, clearance and enforcement matters Perform preliminary searches for titles and other trade- and service marks Review and analyze watch notices Coordinate the execution, notarization and legalization of trademark documents, including affidavits, declarations, assignments and powers of attorney Participate in the department to discuss issues and propose solutions to enhance practice Interact with business units on trademark matters Review and approve invoices Qualifications/Requirements Basic Qualifications A minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal with trademark or intellectual property experience Bachelor s degree or paralegal certificate Moderate to expert proficiency of Word, Excel and trademark docketing systems (WebTMS preferred, or others that may include Anaqua, CPI, PATTSY, FoundationIP) Desired Characteristics Desired Characteristics Familiarity with domestic and foreign trademark practice and procedures Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with Saegis or similar trademark databases Experience handling confidential and sensitive material Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team player Ability to work efficiently and effectively with a large volume of work Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail Takes initiative in achieving results and measuring performance.
