Refining Analytics Manager

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: 1. Leads site analytics team to provide overall analytical support and reporting for the refinery site. 2. Networks with refinery stakeholders to ensure OPEX budget is aligned with the oil plan, capital plan, and strategic initiatives. 3. Develops and presents insightful business and financial metrics to identify gaps against plan, drive actionable intervention and support decision making. 4. Collaborates with Corporate Analytics to leverage from existing analysis and accounting to clean and harmonize accounting data. 5. Ensures platform for analytics tools are consistent with other Refinery Analytics teams and that KPI methodology are calculated with rigor. 6. Manages the site analytics team. Ensures team develops key capabilities and competencies; closes gap via training. 7. Provide One-Stop shop for the RLT to help understand overall refinery performance. 8. Provide central clearing house for all internal and external financial data and audit request to minimize site impact and ensure consistent in reporting. REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION Minimum undergraduate degree in engineering, finance, business or economics required. MBA is preferred. Undergraduate degree in Engineering is highly preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum 8 years of energy industry experience in finance, planning and performance management, and/or other technical roles required. Working knowledge of refining business and economics preferred. Candidates with a degree in Chemical Engineering and an MBA will be given preference. SPECIAL SKILLS Advanced understanding of what drives refinery and fuel value chain performance, including refinery economics. Advanced understanding of the planning process, finance, forecasting, and performance management.
