Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Use data to evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, tactics, and measurement techniques. Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform marketing and communication strategies to improve campaign performance within and for a government agency. Apply a strong familiarity with all available analytics tools and their application in the government space (both syndicated and proprietary) to ensure all client recommendations are supported by quantitative and/or qualitative research. Understand functional areas such as communications-plan execution, business rules, enterprise management, and auditing, tracking, and improving communications program Analyze communication program plan for execution accuracy, consistency, industry standards, completeness, etc. Develop detailed documentation of metrics on each communication initiative and campaign Develop strong written communication plans and products such as campaign plans, speeches, talking points, video scripts, etc. for executive-level government clients. Work closely with government client and team to ensure schedule and objectives are met and exceeded Roles and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide leadership for the communication team (serving a government client) on campaign measurement development and implementation. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes Strong interpersonal communication, listening, relationship-building, and collaborating skills Advanced writing skills, including proficiency in grammar, formatting, and effective written communication Serve in a consultative role to: develop measurement plans and strategies to improve the effectiveness of marketing plans design and recommend appropriate analytic methodology and approach manage the analysis and interpretation of program performance with agency and client teams ensure delivery and integration of conclusions/recommendations and actionable insights. Align VA initiatives with IT management goals and governance with opportunities for promoting emerging IT and consolidating and connecting existing services used throughout current and future system Ability to analyze and apply data from communications efforts to further advance the strategic goals of the agency Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Must be result-oriented and capable of identifying opportunities and delivering results independent of supervision Other Requirements Bachelors or advanced degree in Strategic Communications, Business Management, Marketing, or English is preferred A strong desire to learn and passion for communication, writing, research and analytics Strong time management skills working across a large communication team Ability to prioritize issues quickly and creatively with a solutions-based approach Strong analytic and problem solving skills Excellent written, oral and presentation abilities with the ability to communicate complex ideas in both technical and user-friend language Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other cross-functional teams.
