Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee the design and preparation of clinical development plans within area of responsibility integrating pre-clinical and translational aspects Oversee the design and preparation of clinical development plans within area of responsibility integrating pre-clinical and translational aspects Lead and manage the Immuno-Oncology Clinical Team with direct responsibility for their deliverables; Recruit, develop and retain strong talent; management responsibility for global oncology clinical program leads in US Lead/chair the Immuno-Oncology Global Medical Sub team, integrating among others Clinical Leads, Translational Medicine, PK/PD, Biometry and Clinical Operations Represent medical functions in the Immuno-Oncology Steering Committee; Present and/or support the presentation of project updates, trial results, development plans to senior management including the Oncology TA Leadership Committee Provide guidance and strategic insight on Immuno-Oncology medical aspects to the project and trial teams. Review potential in-licensing candidates and present recommendations to Senior Management groups. Act as an effective external representative to experts and organizations and be externally recognized as an expert on Oncology Clinical development with focus on Immuno-Oncology. Advance the interests of BI by knowledge, publications, style and personal skill, and enhance the position of the corporation with these individuals and groups. Requirements: MD degree from an accredited institution (board certified in Oncology or equivalent experience) with sound clinical oncology knowledge/experience and high ethical standards At least eight (8) years experience in Clinical Drug Development (Pharma Industry or a mixture of Pharma and Academia); expertise in Immuno-Oncology highly desirable Strong clinical research mindset Hands-on experience in clinical drug development with a successful track record in moving compounds through various stages of clinical development; late stage development and registration experience; Solid regulatory knowledge and experience with prior successful interactions with various agencies, e.g. FDA, EMEA, PMDA Ability to exert medical/scientific leadership in collaboration with global matrix teams, regional/local counterparts/external partners Excellent cross functional collaboration skills & ability to work in virtual teams and matrix environments Demonstrate integrative leadership skills within the Immuno-Oncology team and ensure close collaboration with other disciplines in a truly global matrix organization Previous line management experience Advanced organizational and project management skills Double-digit Million Dollar budgeting experience Excellent leadership, communication (oral and written), negotiation and influencing skills Ability to act with grace and resilience under pressure as well as excellent presentation, training and facilitation skills Action oriented and results driven; agile and able to make appropriate and timely decisions Operates within the requirements of global SOPs and working instructions. Desired Skills, Experience and Abilities: Clinical/Pharma experience in US and experience/understanding of the US healthcare environment a plus Eligibility Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction. Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required) Must be 18 years of age or older.
