Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Job Responsibilities: Support the RIG officer in helping to lead a team of professionals with a broad range of industry and technical expertise in executing the supervisory programs over RBO. Keeping staff growth and development as a high priority, supervise the team s efforts toward making informed judgments about the safety and soundness of 12th District RBO. Understand material risk exposures in the RBO portfolio, how these risks are measured and managed, and ensure risk evaluation relative to other RBO. Work with dedicated examiners to scope, organize, and control inspection activities, produce quarterly continuous monitoring reports, and develop and execute the annual supervisory plan for each company. Assist in the coordination of communication, both oral and written, of specific supervisory findings to the senior management and directorate of the supervised institutions. Enable strong interagency coordination by working collaboratively with supervisors at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, associated state regulators, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other regulatory agencies. Manage assigned risk specialists and ensure exposure to appropriate assignments, training, and career development opportunities. Perform other administrative and budget processes related to examination work and staff development. Position Requirements: An applicant must be a U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, or hold a permanent resident/green card with intent to become a U.S. Citizen, and have attained a Bachelors degree in business, finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience. An examiner commission from a federal or state bank supervisory agency is preferred. Ten or more years of direct experience working with a regulatory agency, or in regulatory or risk management consulting in a banking environment with demonstrated ability of handling the most complex issues. Capacity to identify and pursue multiple initiatives simultaneously, and deliver superior results with minimal or no supervision. Experience in staff oversight and development with an ability to build and motivate a team and maintain high standards of excellence. Behavioral Competencies: Candidates for the position must demonstrate the following critical OneBank Behavior competencies: Development of staff is a high priority and coaching examiners, both as direct reports and from the staff pool, throughout the supervision process is a key element of the role. Accountability to ensure the development of comprehensive supervisory plans addressing the various risk profiles of the regional BHCs, while also maintaining a high level of compliance with Federal Reserve System standards for RBO supervision. Influence through the maintenance of effective working relationships with counterparts at the other federal banking agencies and state banking departments to coordinate and collaborate on the supervision of nonmember institutions.
