Construction Assistant Project Manager

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate core competencies in the following areas: Meet with stakeholder(s) and document scope of work. Identify project requirements and select project team. Develop preliminary budget and schedule. Review construction documents for scope, accuracy, feasibility and constructability. Prepare Request for Proposals and Agreements for Senior Project Management Review. Coordinate pre-bid job walks, review proposals and make recommendations for award. Conduct progress meetings, mitigate any risks associated with schedule and budget, review submittals, RFIs, ASIs and communicate project status to Senior Project Management and Project Stakeholder(s). Maintain quality control and assurance. Manage master construction schedule, including phasing and revisions. Responsible for project job costing, including purchase orders, invoices, change orders and budget reconciliation. Coordinate Final Acceptance, including commissioning, closeout documentation and Record File transfer. Job Requirements: The successful candidate will possess the following required degrees, certificates or competencies: Associate or Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration preferred. 2-4 years experience in managing Tenant Improvements, Maintenance Repair and Capital Improvement Projects. Proven ability to work independently and with direction from Senior Project Management in a team environment. Knowledge of LEED EBOM, LEED GA preferred. Advanced computer skills and working experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Project Scheduling Software. Provides high degree of professional customer service to both internal and external parties. Excellent communications and organization, follow-through and follow-up, meet commitments and deadlines. Ability to work well under pressure with strong personalities. Detail oriented resulting in high accuracy and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
