Job Responsibilities and Requirements: RESPONSIBILITIES: Support commercial transactions and help drive intellectual property business development and collaboration opportunities Draft and negotiate various license agreements, collaboration and research related agreements; monitor compliance of requirements under such agreements Work with the executive team to provide practical advice on intellectual property issues when necessary Develop and implement policies and procedures relating to IP as needed Develop excellent relationships with all operational teams and ensure that intellectual property and licensing needs are met in a timely and efficient manner Manage with outside counsel, intellectual property litigation when necessary Provide periodic training to business on various IP topics REQUIREMENTS Minimum of 4-8 years of relevant experience in licensing contracts. Relevant industry experience (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments is strongly preferred. J.D. required. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively, with a solution-oriented approach, in teams within legal, business, and functional areas. Strong verbal and written communication skills, effectively communicating sound legal advice coupled with a strong understanding of business needs. Detail orientated with strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining high quality and performance under pressure.
