Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Job Duties: Understand, pursue, and strive to fulfill s mission and core values. Verify and sustain absolute compliance with all regulatory and institutional policies and procedures. Lead the recruitment, development, retention, and advancement of all departmental staff. Responsible for maintaining all financial assistance programs are properly administered in a timely manner: applications, reporting requirements, fund reconciliation, etc. (e.g., FISAP, eCar, eApp). Responsible for organizing and communicating with all parties directly or indirectly connected to regulatory compliance. Provide technical guidance related to financial assistance program regulatory compliance. Serve as collaborative administrator and strategist with leadership on strategic financial aid operations. Lead multiple complex projects. Ensure efficient management of packaging and accounts receivable/DSO performance. Collaborate and partner with all external agencies associated with Financial Services. Effectively manage all Financial Services third party vendor relationships. Ensure technical knowledge is kept current by attending relevant industry training events. Maintain accountability for the successful coordination and completion of all Financial Services audits. Actively engage in management procedures to achieve successful default prevention. Participate in the design and implementation of institutional grants and scholarships. Accurately plan departmental requirements and consistently achieve expectations. Ensure continuous eligibility for all financial assistance programs with which the University participates or seeks to participate in. Support the executive leadership team on all Financial Services operations. Additional Job Duties (include but are not limited to): Consistently pursue and implement process and policy efficiencies. Collaborate across departments to optimize service levels and performance. Resolve escalated student issues and proactively modify root-cause processes. Minimum Requirements: Proven ability to evaluate workload and available resources and make recommendations to adjust schedules and priorities as required. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, motivate and manage staff; delegate and reassign tasks, monitor production and quality of work, set performance standards, assess individual capabilities and workloads, conduct performance evaluations. Demonstrated experience managing resources across multiple teams, locations and systems. Ability to work and manage multiple work streams calmly and objectively in situations under pressure while meeting internal deadlines. Excellent leadership, management, communication, analytical and organization skills. Knowledge of the proprietary educational environment and how training and education relates to the job market. Strong compliance orientation and experience with regulatory environment and audits. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and university student information systems and applications. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum 10-years post-secondary education finance-related experience. Minimum 5-years post-secondary education finance leadership role experience. Ability to effectively -Interact and support executive and senior management. -Partner cross-functionally with other disciplines to deliver exceptional service. -Lead and manage a large team in a complex integrated environment. -Collaborate and partner with external Federal, State, and Local agencies. -Lead and manage third party vendor partnerships and relationships. Education: Bachelor s degree from a regionally accredited or approved nationally accredited institution required. Master s degree strongly preferred. Degree(s) preferred in Finance, Accounting, Organizational Management or related field.
