Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The information security professional will be part of a team involved in the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and maintenance of the Authority to Operate (ATO) for numerous FISMA systems for the Department of Defense and U.S. Army. Specific tasks: Conduct security control assessment of systems and prepare security assessment report. Provide expertise as it relates to FISMA, DoD requirements, NIST Special Publications and Standards, and other federal guidance Support the development, monitoring and update of agency information security policies and procedures. Support the development of assessment & authorization deliverables including but not limited to risk assessment, FIPS 199, system security plan, IT contingency plan, incident response plan, and others. Assist in conducting Agency IV&V (quarterly and ad hoc) tests to evaluate the effectiveness of policies, procedures, and practices Track, report, and remediate of agency Plan of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms) Monitor and report on updates to applicable authoritative guidance on a continuous basis. Required Skills, Certification, Experience, and Education: Requires a Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent job experience. Requires Security certification or ability to acquire certification within the first 6 months. Required Clearance: Secret; This position requires a DOD Interim Secret Clearance prior to the start of work. Desired: Information Assurance: 1 - 2 years Cybersecurity: 1 - 2 years Experience with military cyber operations CISSP Certification preferred Must have excellent communication skills and ability to interface with the client. Experience working with and understanding RMF.
