Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The person is responsible for timely and accurate tax compliance, 401-K retirement plan administration, payroll, the analysis of financial statements, and budgets. This position oversees the establishment and enforcement of internal control policies and procedures and provides leadership and oversight of the company Enterprise system and supporting software. Duties include, but are not limited to, overseeing the Accounting Department and insuring that accurate accounting records are maintained and issued in a timely manner coordinate efforts with ' external auditors as they perform the year-end independent audit coordinate the tax return preparation and make every effort to be fully informed on tax matters so that the tax implications on given tax matters can be identified and analyzed responsible for the annual budgeting process that includes determining guidelines and preparation responsible for all treasury management functions for coordinate annual renewal of property and casualty insurance policies supervise the Credit and Collections Department to set corporate credit policies and establish systems to monitor AR supervise the IS Department and oversee the evaluation of all company IS systems foster a work environment characterized by mutual respect and effectively handle any disagreements or conflicts that may arise provide direction, define priorities, and set clear expectations for the Accounting Department use coaching skills efficiently to improve staff performance and conduct effective and timely performance reviews oversee training programs for all Accounting, Credit, and IS Department personnel to enable them to perform their jobs at an optimum level oversee the recruitment, reference checks, hiring, and development of employees for the Accounting, Credit, and IS Departments We are looking for a candidate that will take our core values to heart and has a strong drive to succeed in our industry. This position requires strong leadership abilities and strong organization and planning skills. provides training. Minimum Education Required : Bachelor's Degree in Accounting; Current CPA License Minimum Experience Required : Fifteen years' accounting experience in a management role; Five years' in a supervisory position in an Accounting Department supervising at least twenty people; Two years' recent experience as a Controller in a national and international wholesale distribution or trucking operations environment with responsibility for accounts, budgeting, cost accounting, credit and collections, and finance; Three years' supervisory experience in Public Accounting Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
