Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities are both routine and non-routine in nature. General duties of the position include, but are not limited, to the following: Observation, inspection, and documentation of underground utility construction as an Owners representative Ensure compliance with design plans and specifications and permit requirements Document contractor progress, maintain accurate quantity records, process payment requests, generate punch lists, and certify completion status Document site activities accurately by maintaining accurate and current field books, construction reports, and as-built record drawings Coordinate with City personnel for water quality testing Advocate for site safety and interface with elected officials and their staffs, as well as the general public Create and track work orders for each project in the DWM program database Experience working in/for municipal agencies or with utility infrastructure networks B.S. in Civil Engineering with 0-4 years of experience in engineering or construction related field; or B.S. in Construction or Construction Management with 2 to 6 years of experience in engineering or construction related field; or A.S. or A.A. S. in Construction Management with 4 to years of experience in engineering or construction related field Experience in delivery of an/or supporting technical work (construction specifications, documentation and drawings) in a construction environment Experience with simultaneously inspecting multiple projects Proficiency with Microsoft Tools, including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel Ability to commute to/from multiple work sites Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
