Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Duties and Responsibilities Provide practical and actionable legal advice regarding federal and state laws and regulations applicable to consumer banking products and sales, safe deposit box support, as well as bank branching and field operations. Advise with respect to checking and savings products and services, ATMs, customer-facing content, and related issues. Partner with Business, Compliance, Controls and Risk leadership to support business objectives and well run, controlled and compliant operations. Partner with colleagues across the Legal Department. All other duties as necessary or assigned to provide high caliber line of business legal support. Candidates should possess, at a minimum, Seven (7) years relevant experience practicing law post-JD, including experience in private practice advising financial institutions with respect to legal and regulatory issues or relevant in-house experience. Knowledge and understanding of retail banking operations, products and services and a keen understanding and knowledge of the applicable regulatory environment and framework applicable to a large banking organization such as JPMorgan Chase. Excellent legal skills and judgment including the ability to interpret and explain statutes and regulations. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate clearly, directly and concisely. Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative, interdependent environment in which success depends on sharing opportunities, responsibility and credit. Ability to work independently and quickly and to manage complex projects and multitask successfully. Demonstrated leadership, problem solving and project management skills, judgment and character. Experience with digital, electronic and mobile banking and transactions is preferred. JD or educational equivalent required. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment. All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
