Virtual Design & Construction Manager

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Supervise designers and modelers; including, developing work assignments, scheduling, training, performance appraisals and the like. 2. Develop and manage the virtual construction process including procedures, policies and forms to be used in the management of design department workflow to ensure deadlines are met. 3. Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators and pre-fabrication department to coordinate and schedule design/modeling support during all phases of projects. 4. Research, plan, design, and administer engineering design projects for clients or company management, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, zoning and building codes and building materials. 5. Apply Revit MEP software in preparation of 3D models and drawings. 6. Review preliminary layouts and manufacturers drawings with respect to company s design criteria. 7. Maintain engineering records and lists as required by corporate, client, and department necessity. 8. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: Educational and experience requirements include: Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience and minimum of five years design engineering experience. Demonstrated experience in managing personnel. KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and complete projects on schedule. Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others. Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of various Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Advanced knowledge of design/modeling techniques and related software. Extensive Revit experience required. Requires ability to verbally communicate effectively with internal and external customers. Excellent organizational and supervisory skills are essential. Electrical design experience is a plus. Drug screen & background check required. Salary and Benefits Salary range is dependent on experience and training.
