Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Looking for an Accounting & Finance Intern to work with our Internal Audit Department, Mergers & Acquisitions, Finance and/or Accounting departments. This intern will work closely with the individuals and leaders in each department. The internship may involve participation in multiple disciplines within the finance and accounting departments. Primary Responsibilities Sample duties include:Testing internal controls, documenting results of testing and communicating conclusionsWorking with members of accounting to document processes and internal controlsResearching professional accounting literature and communicating conclusionsPerforming special projectsResearching and modeling financial dataParticipating in a team environment and developing strong communication skillsTesting compliance with . policies and proceduresBudgeting analysisDevelopment of tools for use in projecting financial resultsAssisting HDR Corporate AccountingWorking within HDR s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systemCommunicating results to financial management Required Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate accounting, finance or closely related program Must have 2 years completed towards a degree with a 3.0 GPA Attention to detail a must Must possess strong problem-solving and communication skills Basic Microsoft Office skills An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry Preference given to local candidates.
