Job Responsibilities and Requirements: The Liquidity Specialist is responsible for: Executing firm-specific examinations Participating in System horizontal examinations Implementing a baseline monitoring program, in coordination with the Liquidity Program Leadership Group (PLG) Drafting baseline monitoring key take away memos that communicate insights gained from recurring meetings with the firm to key System stakeholders Monitoring changes and trends that may impact the liquidity position or adequacy of liquidity risk management and communicating these to the Liquidity PLG and DST Presenting examination findings to the Liquidity Steering Committee (SC) for vetting Monitoring supervisory issue remediation in-line with LISCC Program and Reserve Bank standards When not assigned to a specific horizontal exam, you will serve as the primary point of contact for horizontal liquidity staff as it pertains to WFC supervisory activities. You will provide horizontal staff with background documentation on WFC and details of prior reviews, discuss outstanding supervisory findings, coordinate meetings, and ensure the quality of proposed CLAR conclusions. The Liquidity Specialist is also responsible for: Attending CLAR horizontal meetings with WFC Engaging with CLAR horizontal staff to ensure supervisory findings are factually accurate and appropriately socialized prior to Liquidity SC vetting meetings Participating in periodic horizontal updates with CLAR staff and/or CLAR committees Monitoring and assessing funding and liquidity positions, risk management practices, and closely related risks Facilitating the rating process, including providing recommendations on WFC s liquidity rating that are informed by horizontal and firm-specific work conducted during the supervisory cycle Leverage insights from supervisory activities to assess the adequacy of funding positions and risk management practices Position Requirements Bachelor s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a similarly relevant degree. A graduate degree in a related field is highly desired Strong analytical and problem solving skills 10 years of experience in Corporate Treasury, ALM, a related risk management and/or bank supervision function, ideally covering a large, complex financial institution, is strongly desired Ability to analyze off-balance sheet structures, in addition to on-balance sheet asset and liability components, while evaluating risk concerns and vulnerabilities emanating from business line activities Strong communication (both written and verbal) and financial expertise that enable credible engagements with senior management at supervised institutions as well as Federal Reserve System leadership Ability to work effectively across functional and organizational lines to influence supervisory priorities and assessments Consistent record of strong quantitative and analytical skills, as demonstrated by the ability to understand complex and technical topics and arrive at sound supervisory judgments.
