Job Responsibilities and Requirements: You're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end. Google has been at the forefront of big data analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) innovations. In this role, you ll be responsible for driving product marketing for Google Cloud big data analytics products, including Cloud Dataproc and upcoming offerings. Big data processing solutions play a critical role in our strategy and are a major point of differentiation for our cloud. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make sure the world understands the value of Google Cloud big data analytics solutions. Data is your special super-power, and you know how to use it to spark interest and tell a story. You have the ability to analyze and diagnose complex technical and business challenges, formulate product marketing strategy, and influence engineering in product roadmap and investment areas. You possess technical skills combined with excellent written and verbal communications skills. You are equally at home building compelling product narratives as you are going head-to-head with industry influentials and analysts. Success in this role will require the development of strong working relationships and interactions with customers, leaders, engineering teams, and other product and marketing groups across Google. Our products are engineered for security, reliability and scalability, running the full stack from infrastructure to applications to devices and hardware. Responsibilities Define, prioritize and land the end-to-end marketing strategy for Google Cloud Platform's big data processing products. Collaborate with product management, partnerships, sales and engineering functions to define and deliver the technology value proposition, marketing narratives and core marketing contents. Build world-class, inspiring technology showcase assets that excite customers. Drive awareness of Google Cloud Platform data analytics solutions in the market and engage with key influencers. Design innovative marketing campaign strategy and partner with engineering to develop and/or deliver industry leading product demonstrations for major events, including executive keynotes. Qualifications Minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree in a technical/marketing field or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of technology or software marketing experience. Preferred qualifications: Experience in building creative assets and marketing content. Experience in planning and actioning multiple, complex marketing programs including budget management. Experience in the data analytics and Hadoop/Spark data processing space Demonstrated ability as a product or technology advocate, with the ability to collaborate with engineering and marketing teams. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
