Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Provides the leadership in the growth and development of the Construction Team, executing on business demands. Participates as an effective, engaged and accountable member of the senior team, with responsibilities to include overall system strategy, operational success and direction Provides oversight to ensure process improvements, network design changes, plant construction, etc., meeting internal and external service level agreements to improve network reliability and provide timely completion of core network and Cox Business builds adhering to Cox Standards and practices Leads fiscal accountability for the Las Vegas Outside Plant Construction team Ensures that all BSS/OSS systems such as Remedy, GNIS, Granite, OPTIX, etc. are used appropriately and all data entered into those systems is correct and appropriately maintained Creates and directs operational plans and activities that result in accomplishing business strategies, meeting the financial goals of the operation, and creating a reliable customer experience Provides leadership in translating customer expectations into actionable plans for the Outside Plant Design and Construction departments which decrease customer effort and increase customer loyalty Works effectively with corporate peers to ensure operational requirements are understood and effectively resourced Develops appropriate change management and approval processes for outages to ensure minimal customer impact, and sufficient organizational notification of planned upgrades and outages Coordinates and collaborates with regional functional teams to effectively manage municipality and 3rd party infrastructure owners enabling fulfillment SLAs, standard and specification compliance Partners with Corporate Engineering to facilitate successful execution of network design and on company cross-functional teams and/or committees as needed to study and resolve complex network and strategic business problems Provides expert guidance and problem resolution to project management teams and creates/implements appropriate Methods and Procedures for network augmentation Creates workforce and staffing plans and ensures availability of human capital necessary to accomplish planned business results Ensures adherence to all FCC mandated record keeping and operational requirements Performs other duties as required Expected Behaviors: Demonstrates initiative and innovation in achieving results. Sets and communicates high standards of performance, evaluates performance objectively and provides timely, candid feedback to employees. Prepares accountabilities and developmental plans that strengthen skills critical to current and future job performance Qualifications: BS/BA Degree in Engineering or similar strongly desired. MBA preferred. Cable System certification a plus. Minimum 10 years' experience in MSO and/or Telecom industry. Minimum 10 years' RF experience and with extensive knowledge of HFC design and access networks including RF/optical combining/splitting infrastructure with significant experience managing capital and operating budgets.
