Job Responsibilities and Requirements: This position is responsible for effective analysis of a disperse set of demand, operation and customer satisfaction data, and the creation of clear and concise insight and analytics reports for ridership, ticket revenue, competitive mode information. This position is also responsible for the automation and improvement of existing processes while maintaining existing levels of quality, as well as the ability to extract meaning from diverse data sets, and interpret data using a variety of tools and methods. This position is responsible for developing analyses of service disruptions and forecasts of the lost demand due to these reductions in service, as well as the creation of Tableau dashboards and reports. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Interpret ridership, ticket revenue sales, customer satisfaction and other data and providing trend analysis along with comparisons to Budget and forecasts. Provide analysis and reporting of demand and customer satisfaction measurement data. Create and report Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM) analytics using the AMD and/or other CRM databases. Develop Tableau dashboards including the effective use of a Tableau server. Effective use of the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS big data technologies (including Redshift). Effective preparation of raw data (structured, unstructured, and mixed datasets), exploratory data analysis, processing, classification, and prediction. Use of appropriate statistical analysis and application of statistical techniques to determine measures of central tendency, correlation, sample size, significance of differences, etc. Interact with top and middle level management for analytics and reporting. WORK EXPERIENCE: BS or equivalent degree in computer science, economics, statistics, math, or advanced analytics or related field. 5 to 7 years of experience in analytics of large data sets and the creation of effective reporting, preferably in marketing or financial areas. Experience with visualization software (Tableau) or other analytical tools. Demonstrated exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated expertise in effective use of complex databases and understanding of diverse mainframe and PC systems. Effective writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; time management; and conflict resolution and investigative skills. Comfort with large amounts of complex data from multiple sources coupled with the ability to see linkages and relationships within and between sources. PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Proficient using Python and SQL, including standard data libraries such as pandas, keras, matplotlib. Familiarity with data cleansing, data preparation and munging - working knowledge of a data cleansing tool and best practices. Transportation planning experience. Extensive project management experience.
