Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Responsibilities: Manage legal aspects of and provide legal support for substantial construction, redevelopment and other capital projects, including working with SVP of redevelopment and directors in the field. Be a member of cross-functional team (including other attorneys) for substantial and complex acquisition and development projects and other significant real estate transactions, and provide legal support for such projects. Draft, negotiate, review and comment on construction, procurement, design, development and redevelopment agreements and other legal documents. Assist in overall development and redevelopment project governance and management, including managing contracting and providing support for claims prevention and management for such projects. Advise management and support Atrias senior living communities on various real estate issues. Manage work of outside counsel and associated costs. May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned. Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience in construction law practice; prior in-house experience is preferred. Real estate and corporate law experience a plus. Prior experience in construction or engineering a plus. Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships. Outstanding organization and planning skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
